Emaan Chhatriwala
Chief Financial Officer
Emaan is a sophomore at Round Rock High School in Austin Texas. His main reason for HEARD are the unique goals and powerful mission to help the physical and mental health of these displaced children. He says “For me, volunteering is a way that I can help others as well as myself, preparing me for future work experience and leadership opportunities while also giving back to my community.” Emaan believes in equal opportunity for all kids to have access to basic needs for their well-being.
Leadership
- Emaan is Chief Financial Officer for HEARD – Healthy Resources for Displaced Children,’ where his role is to manage and organize the incoming and outgoing finances aligned with the Non-Profit’s mission, objectives, and goals.
- Emaan was an active member of Cedar Valley Middle School Science Bowl Team and also led that team as Captain.
Volunteering
- Emaan has been an active volunteer member for Patsy Sommer Elementary School PTA events.
- He volunteers at his local religious community center for help with community meals and serving.
- Emaan tutors neighborhood children for help with Spanish and Math.
Passion
- Mountain Biking
- Emaan loves playing the Piano and loves learning and playing music from different countries and cultures.
Education
- Honor roll student
- Active participant in school activities like Science Bowl, DECA, HOSA and Debate.
- Member of National Junior Honor Society
- Award winner at local and state level for Spelling Bee, Math Pentathlon and Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering.
